SPRING WASHER

A SPRING WASHER is a washer with a split, helical spring structure. It may also be referred to as a spring lock washer. Installed beneath a screw, bolt, or nut, it compresses under tightening and generates a spring-back force that helps maintain contact pressure and provides auxiliary anti-loosening performance.

Provides Elastic Spring-Back Force

After tightening, the SPRING WASHER is compressed and generates axial spring force, helping maintain contact pressure between the screw head or nut and the workpiece.

Provides Auxiliary Anti-Loosening Performance

The split ends can increase contact friction and help reduce the possibility of reverse rotation under general vibration and operating conditions.

Compensates for Minor Changes in Clearance

The elastic structure can compensate for certain changes in preload caused by component settling, dimensional tolerances, or thermal expansion and contraction.

Simple to Install

A SPRING WASHER can be placed directly onto a screw or bolt, making it suitable for manual assembly and general mechanical applications. It can also be used together with a flat washer.

Wide Range of Applications

SPRING WASHERS are commonly used in machinery, automotive and motorcycle components, electronic and electrical equipment, home appliances, furniture, enclosures, and industrial equipment. For critical or high-vibration applications, proper tightening torque and additional anti-loosening measures should still be considered.
